This course will focus on the definitions of competence under the Occupational Health and Safety Act and how it is interpreted in case history by the government. It will review key health and safety management principles and the history of their development. The primary methods of recognizing, identifying and controlling a safety issue will be presented and validated through recent Ministry of Labour cases. Sample tools will also be distributed and used during the training to assist you when you return to your workplace. Various case studies will be conducted to solidify the key factors presented during the training session.
